Asus announced in the UK two new environmental-friendly Bamboo series notebooks, the U33Jc and U53Jc. Both of them are slim and light, and stylish with brushed aluminum and a a smoky-brown bamboo exterior.
The 15.6-inch U53Jc and the 13.3-inch U33Jc Bamboo notebooks are both powered by Intel Core i5-430M 2.26GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA Optimus technology with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 310M DDR3 1GB and onboard Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics. The former comes with a 640GB hard drive and a DVD SuperMulti burner while the latter packs a 500GB drive.
Other common features of the U33Jc and U53Jc include 2 Megapixel webcam, 1366×768 screen with LED-backlit, one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 port, HDMI port and Windows 7 home Premium 64-bit OS. They also include Asus’ Hybrid Engine technology tgat automatically manages power levels to ensure that users have high performance when they need it most (such as when watching videos or playing games) yet don’t waste much-needed battery life when enjoying less power-hungry applications such as email or word-processing.
The Bamboo U33Jc and U53Jc are priced at GBP849 and GBP899 respectively.
