Asus announced its new ENGTX460 Series graphics cards featuring NVIDIA’s new GeForce GTX460 GPU. The ENGTX460 Series features the DirectCU thermal design, Voltage Tweak for enhancing the performance of the cards.
Asus’ DirectCU copper cooling technology utilizes 8mm copper heatpipes that are custom flattened and directly contact the GPU core for improved heat transfer. The 768MB ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5 features 2 heatpipes while the 1GB ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/1GD5 features 3 heatpipes. These DirectCU TOP cards offer the exclusive GPU Guard option featuring additional circuit board reinforcement against cracking while delivering spectacular reliability and longevity.
Asus also offers the ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 that comes without the GPU Guard option and the ENGTX460/2DI/768MD5 that lacks DirectCU and GPU Guard. These Asus GTX460 cards start at $199.
