Asus announced the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Rampage III GENE microATX motherboard for PC gamers who are looking for a compact build. The Rampage III GENE, aka R3G, is based on Intel X58 chipset and supports 6-core Core i7-980X processor and includes USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface and SATA 6Gb/s interface.
The microATX ROG Rampage III GENE has six DIMM slots for up to 24GB DDR3 memory, two PCIe2.0 x16 slots. It supports NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX multi GPU configuration. The R3G has integrated Gigabit Intel LAN and SupremeFX X-Fi 2 audio. There are two USB 3.0 ports and 11 USB 2.0 ports.
