Cisco announced its Cius tablet, a first-of-its-kind mobile collaboration business tablet that delivers virtual desktop integration with anywhere, anytime access to the full range of Cisco collaboration and communication applications, including HD video.
The Cisco Cius runs Android OS. It features a 720p front HD camera that captures video at 30fps, a 7-inch touchscreen display, single-button TelePresence interoperability that can be utilized either when the tablet is docked, or being used remotely via Wi-Fi, a 5 Megapixel rear facing camera and dual noise-cancelling microphone for audio conferencing. You can expect WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and 3G mobile connectivity and onboard accelerometer.
Cisco expects to release the Cius in Q1 2011.
