Toshiba announced the launch of the BDX2500 and BDX2700 Blu-ray players for consumers who demand a variety of entertainment options. Both models are WiFi-ready allowing users to access to online content from Netflix, BLOCKBUSTER On Demand, VUDU, and Pandora internet Radio. The BDX2500 supports Ethernet LAN and WiFi via optional adapter while the BDX2700 has built-in WiFi capability.
The BDX2500 and BDX2700 are capable of Full HD 1080p/24fps Blu-ray playback and standard DVD upconversion and supports HD audio such as Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio | Essential. They are compatible with BD-Live with BD Profile 2.0 and Bonus View and are able to handle AVCHD video, HD JPEG/JPEG photo, and MP3/WMA audio file playback from recordable media, USB external storage or SD/SDHC cards.
Toshiba’s BDX2500 and BDX2700 offers 7.1-channel analog audio output and HDMI output with HDMI-CEC control. These players are priced at $179.99 and $249.99, respectively.
