OWC (Other World Computing) rolls out its new Mercury Extreme Pro SSD series with up to 480GB of storage capacity. OWC’s new 2.5-inch SSD uses SandForce SF1200 controller and MLC NAND flash memory. It utilizes SATA interface and offers up to 285MB/s read speed and 275MB/s write speed.
The Mercury Extreme Pro SSD comes with hardware 128-bit AES encryption. It supports Windows 7 TRIM command as well.
