General Dynamics introduces its new Tadpold Topaz V2 rugged lightweight notebook PC that is environmentally tested to MIL-STD-810F and is tested to MIL-STD-461E for electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.
The Topaz V2 is boosted by a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 8G of RAM and integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics. The rugged notebook has either a 2.5-inch hard drive up to 500GB or a 240GB SSD as well as a removable DVD burner. It comes with a 15.1-inch 1400×1050 display with optional touch panel. WiFi 802.11n and Ethernet LAN are supported.
Other features include two Type I/II PCCard/PCMCIA slots, a ExpressCARD 34/54 slot, built-in smart card reader and integrated TPM. It gets integrated carry handle and removable shoulder strap for easy carrying.
