NEC announced the new Camera Engine 151 (CE151) system-on-chip (SoC) image processing device for camera phones. The CE151 is designed to provide high-quality images comparable to digital-still cameras.
NEC’s new Camera Engine features improved noise-reduction and image-stabilizing function and lower power consumption. It supports the SpeedTags technology to elimnate shutter lag. The CE151 is available now for $40 per unit.
