NEC has expands its MultiSync line with two new professional color accurate monitors, the PA242W-BK and PA242W-BK-SV. Both of them utilizes GB-R LED backlight for a wider color gamut and more color control than conventional white LED backlight. They are built on 10-bit active matrix AH-IPS panel and features 1920×1200 native resolution, 340cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
With a 10-bit panel, the monitors have a 99.3% coverage of Adobe RGB and 100% of sRGB color space, delivering accurate and vibrant colors professionals need. They also come with internal 14-bit programmable 3D lookup table (LUT) and supports ICC profile emulation. The color critical PA242W-BK-SV also gets SpectraView Color Calibration software and sensor to provide automated monitor matching and calibration for accurate, consistent and repeatable color performance. Other features include Picture in Picture and Picture by Picture and AmbiBright ambient light sensor.
Both MultiSync monitors have DipslayPort, HDMI, DVI-D and VGA inputs and a built-in 3-port USB hub with DisplaySync Pro for controlling two computers with one keyboard and mouse. A 4-way ergonomic stand is included. The PA242W-BK and PA242W-BK-SV are priced at $1,049 and $1,299, respectively.
