Meridian Audio introduces the 808.3 Signature Reference CD Player, which is the third generation of its 808 series. The 808.3 features a specially built custom CD-ROM drive that allows for data recovery and error correction many times better than that employed in standard CD systems, triple FIFO buffering and Meridian’s proprietary DSP based ‘apodising’ up-sampling system.
The 808.3 CD player has an ID40 Sooloos Card allowing it to be directly connected to the same network as a Meridian Sooloos Digital Media System. The device offers analogue input, digital input, and a new balanced digital audio SpeakerLink input/output.
Meridian’s 808.3 Signature Reference CD Player comes in Graphite, Silver and Black standard colors and full range of Meridian Select colour options. It will be available in the UK inFebruary for GBP10,000.
