Toshiba is going to release in the US market the ZX900 series CELL TV, which gets the CELL Broadband Engine for enhanced multimedia processing. The new ZX900 features Toshiba’s new KIRA2 Super Local Dimming LED dislay. It features 1,000 cd/m2 brightness, ClearScan 480Hz Frame Rate and 9 Million:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
Toshiba’s Z900 CELL TV sports 3D TV capability as well. For native 3D content, CELL TV utilizes a Frame Sequential System that changes from 240Hz in 2D mode, to 120Hz for the right eye and 120Hz for the left eye in 3D mode. The CELL TV is also a home entertainment center packing a 1TB hard drive, Blu-ray player and even WiFi 802.11n connectivity and Ethernet port.
Thanks to the internet capabilty, the CELL TV supports the Net TV application for accessing contents from Netflix, VUDU, CinemaNow Pandora..etc. The ZX900 will be released in 55-inch and 65-inch sreen sizes.
