Optoma brings to the CES 2010 two new multimedia pico projectors, the PK201 and the PK301, follow-ups to its PK1001 series. Both models use 0.3-inch WVGA DLP display panel offering 854×480 16:9 resolution. The PK201 features 20 ANSI lumens while the PK301 provides 50 lumens. They have 2000:1 contrast ratio and LED lamp with up to 20,000 of life.
Not only projecting images, Optoma’s PK201 and PK301 can play media files directly from microSD card. Supported formats include AVI, MOV, MP4 and 3GP (via video conversion software) and JPEG, BMP, GIF and TIFF. They have 0.5W built-in speaker and a 3.5mm audio jack. In addition to VGA, component, these pico projectors include Mini HDMI inut as well.
To be released in mid-March, PK201 and PK301 will be priced at $299 and $399 respectively.
