2011 Infiniti M37 and M56 Announced

Infiniti, the luxury car division of Nissan, announced at the LA Auto Show 2009 its 2011 Infiniti M. Two models will be offered, the Infiniti M37 with a 330-horsepower 3.7-liter VVEL V6 and the Infiniti M56 with an all-new 420-horsepower 5.6-liter VVEL Direct Injection Gasoline V8.

The engines of the M37 and M56 feature Infiniti’s advanced VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) system and a standard 7-speed automatic transmission. The latter gets also Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) technology. They have also the world’s first blind spot intervention System. The Infiniti M56 and M37 will be offered in a choice of rear-wheel drive or with Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.

The new 2011 Infiniti M are scheduled to go on sale in late March 2010. Infiniti will also introduce hybrid Infiniti M in mid-2010.
