Getac announced the new version of the V100 rugged tablet PC equipped with multitouch technology allowing users to move and edit documents, rotate maps and photos, zoom in and zoom out the maintenance manuals, and navigate numerous system applications by using a series of “gestures” with their fingers.
V100’s touchscreen is based on resistive technology, which means it works with gloved fingers. The tablet is MIL-STD 810F and IP54 compliant and has a magnesium alloy case. Powered by Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM (max 4GB), 160GB/320GB hard drive. It has a 10.4-inch display that offers 100 points per second report rate, and less than 35ms response time.
