Verizon Wireless officially introduces to its netbook lineup the first Gateway netbook. As previously reported, the device is a 3G-capable LT2000 getting built-in 3G mobile broadband connectivity.
The LT2016u is powered by Intel’s Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory and integrated graphics chipset. It has a 160GB hard drive, a multi-in-one card reader, a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, Dolby Headphone technology and two built-in stereo speakers, and support for WiFi 802.11b/g.
Verizon’s Gateway LT2016u comes with a 6-cell battery. It runs Windows XP Home. It is available for $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
