While Super Talent will ship the RAIDDrive nex month, OCZ Technology has just released its Z-Drive, a PCI-Express Solid State Drive (SSD) designed to meet the stringent demands of enterprise computing clients.
OCZ Z-Drive is bootable. It comes with 8 PCI-E lanes and an internal four-way RAID 0 configuration. The MLC-based Z-Drive p84 offers 750MB/s read speeds and 650MB/s write speed while the SLC-based Z-Drive e84 features 850MB/s read and 750MB/s write speeds. Both models have 256MB local cache. The p84 will be available in 256GB and 512GB capacities, and the e84 adds 1TB model.
