Bose announced the SoundDock 10 Digital Music System for iPod media players, joing SoundDock Series II. The device maintains a dock-and-play simplicity in a small, elegant design and is designed as an integrated system.
Bose SoundDock 10 features two Bose Twiddler transducers (a combination of a high-frequency transducer and mid-range driver) that are optimally positioned in the front of the system to complete the full-range of accurate musical reproduction. There is also a newly designed Bose woofer for producing very deep low notes, without enlarging the enclosure or requiring a separate subwoofer. You can also expect vibration isolation structure for maintaining iPod or iPhone performance, regardless of the listening level.
The iPod system is driven by efficient amplifiers and a switching power supply housed within the system, eliminating the need for an external transformer. Users need only manage a simple power cord. It can be used to an optional Bluetooth dock for wireless music streaming.
The Bose SoundDock 10, in addition to the iPod/iPhone dock, provides an AUX input and video output. It is priced at $599 and the optional Bluetooth interchangeable dock is available for $149.
