Toshiba announced the launch of the JournE Touch multimedia touchscreen Mobile Internet Device (MID). Design for use on the move or around your home, the JournE Touch features a 7-inch touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution, LED-backlight and 300:1 contrast ratio.
Toshiba’s JournE Touch runs Windows CE 6.0 Pro OS and supports playback of MPEG 4/H.264, MP3, WMA and JPEG images. The mobile tablet supports WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity and 3.5G mobile network via USB modem for accessing social networking services such as YouTube, Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MSN Messenger, FrameChannle and Acetrac video-on-demand service. The device can also manages RSS feeds.
The JournE Touch supports SDHC memory cards up to 32GB and offers HDMI and USB port. It’s internal Lithium-ion Polymer battery provides up to 7 hours of audio playback, or 2 hours of internet browsing.
