After seeing two leaked shots of the XPERIA X2 here and here, Sony Ericsson finally announced the new XPERIA X2 smartphone that comes with the eye-catching Panel interface and runs Windows Mobile 6.5 OS.
Like the XPERIA X1, the X2 has full QWERTY keyboard. The phone features a 3.2-inch 480×800 resistive touchscreen display and a 8.1 Megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom, geo-tagging, video tagging, image stabilizer, touch focus, auto focus and flash. It comes with also a-GPS support with Google Maps, Bluetooth and WiFi. It supports microSD/SDHC up to 16GB.
Two version will be available, the X2 supporting UMTS/HSPA 900/1900/2100 and the X2a for the US market supportin gUMTS/HSPA 850/1900/2100, both include Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support.
