Toshiba announced the new series (MKxx65GSX) of 2.5-inch 5400RPM hard drives with up to 640GB storage capacity (model: MK6465GSX). The new 640GB drive uses the new 320GB-per-platter design to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation by more than 80%.
Toshiba’s MKxx65GSX is also available in 500GB, 320GB, 250GB and 160GB capacities. It uses SATA 3Gb/s interface and comes with 8MB cache memory.
