Asus is adding the NVIDIA Ion to its Eee Box nettop line and is going to releases its first Ion nettop,the Eee Box EB1012 offering “High Definition Entertainment in a 1L-Sized PC”. Boosted by Intel’s dual core Atom N330 processor, the EB1012 gets up to 4GB DDR3 memory and NVIDIA Ion graphics.
The Ion nettop/HTPC has a 250GB hard drive and a multi-in-one card reader. It supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n and comes with a WiFi antenna. You can expect an HDMI connector to deliver HD image to your HDTV and an eSATA for connection external storage. Bluetooth is available as an option.
The Asus Eee Box EB1012 comes pre-loaded with the Total Media Center application that lets you browse, organize and view the various files in your media library including MPEG, WMV, and VC1 files. There is also the ASUS@Vibe—an online digital entertainment portal that lets you access your favorite music, videos, and Live TV content from the web. The EB1012 will come in White and Black.
