Toshiba 43nm Solid State Drive Family

Toshiba launches its new line of solid state drive (SSD) that utilizes the 43-nanometer(nm) technology. The 43nm SSD product family is available as a 2.5-inch drive with up to 512GB capacity, a 1.8-inch SSD and 1.8-inch Flash Module with up to 256GB density.

The 2.5-inch SSD will also come with 256GB, 128GB and 64GB capacities while the 1.8-inch SSD and Flash memory include also 128GB and 64GB models. All these new SSDs are based on MLC NAND flash memory and offer 230MB/s max reading speed and 180MB/s max writing speed. They use SATA II 3Gbps interface. AES data encryption is available to prevent unauthorized data access.
