Pentax adds two new compact digital cameras, the P80 and E80, to its Optio line, replacing the P70 and E70.
The Optio P80 is a ultra-slim, stylish camera with a lightweight design. It features a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, 4X PENTAX wide angle zoom lens with 27.5 wide angle, a 2.7-inch LCD display, PENTAX Shake Reduction (SR) technology, Face Detection, Smile Capture and ISO up to 6400. This stylish Optio is able to record 720p HD video at 30fps. It will be available in three fashionable colors including Black, Pearl, and Mint. To be released in September 2009, the Optio P80 will be priced at $199.95.
Pentax Optio E80, on the other hand, is an entry-level camera with 10 Megapixel CCD. It features 3X optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD display, ISO up to 6400, Face Detection. It records 720p HD video at 15fps. The E80 will be available in Silver and Black in September for $129.95.
