Duros announced the new 8404 rugged tablet PC that is based on Atom processor. As a rugged device, the Duros 8404 is sealed to IP-65 levels for dust and water ingress and tested to MIL STD 810F for vibration, functional shock, high and low temperatures and drops.
The tablet is powered by either Intel’s Celeron M 1Ghz or Atom 1GHz processor, up to 1GB RAM and up to 120GB hard drive or 64GB SSD. The 8404 has a 8.4-inch sunlight viewable touchscreen with 800×600 resolution. It features integrated WiFi 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. GSM/GPRS/DEGE, UMTS, HSDPA, GPS can also be added.
Duros 8404 has hot swappable battery. It is available in multiple colors. It runs Windows XP/Vista or Linux.
