Super Talent announced the MasterDrive SX solid state drive that is equipped with 128MB of DRAM cache for better performance. The MasterDrive SX series has a 2.5-inch form factor and uses SATA II 3Gbps interface.
Based on MLC NAND Flash memory with new 8-channel controller, the MasterDrive SX offers up to 220MB/s Sequential Read Speed and up to 200MB/s Sequential Write Speed. This new series of SSD is power efficient consuming just 0.15-watt while idle. 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities are available.
The price of 128GB model will be about $359.
