Renesas Technology announced the SH-MobileHD1 (Product Number: SH7370), an application processor for cellphones, that handles Full HD 1080p video recording and playback. The SH-MobileHD1 is the first mobile phone application processor to support H.264/MPEG-4 AVC at Full HD resolution with 30fps.
Renesas SH-MobileHD1 has a max operating frequency of 500MHz and has two 24-bit dedicated audio DSPs. It supports supports multiplexing of the MPEG2-TS (transport system) and MP4 formats. The SH-MobileHD1 can be connect to an SD memory card and wireless LAN module.
