Asus announced the new RS700D-E6/PS8 Duo Nodes 1U server with independent power supplys. The Asus RS700D-E6/PS8 has two sockets 1366 per node for Intel Xeon processor 5500 series processor and is based on Intel’s 5500 and ICH10R chipsets. It has 12 DIMMs supporting up to 96GB RAM per node. Each node has a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot and four hot-swappable 2.5-inch HDD Bays.
