Toshiba is expanding integrated Mobile Broadband into its consumer notebook range and the NB100 and Satellite A350 are the first two to have embedded mobile broadband. The updated NB100 and A350 gets embedded support for HSPA wireless broadband offering data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps in the downlink and up to 2.0 Mbps in the uplink. They will be available throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa in Q1 2009.
Toshiba’s NB100 is the company’s netbook model based on Atom 1.6Ghz processor. It has 1GB of memory and a 8.9-inch display.
Toshiba Satellite A350 series is powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of RAM and up to 320GB hard drive. It has either integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics.
