Right before the CES 2009, Pentax announced the new Optio P70 and Optio E70 compact digital cameras. Pentax Optio P70 is an ultra slim camera with 12 Megapixel image sensor 4x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. It offers ISO up to 6400 and Digital Shake Reduction. Pentax’s Optio P70 can capture 720p videos at 15fps.
The Optio E70, successor of the E60, is a 10 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, 2.4-inch display, and Pixel Track Shake Reduction.
Both cameras feature the Advanced Face Recognition, Smile Capture and Blink Detectio. The Pentax Optio P70 will be available in White, Red and Silver for $199.95 while the Pentax Optio E70 comes in champagne gold, deep blue and red for $139.95. They will be launched in February 2009.
