HP unveiled its TouchSmart tx2, a AMD-powered convertible tablet notebook with a multi-touch display. It is probably the first multi-touch tablet in the market. The TouchSmart tx2z is powered by an AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core mobile processor, up to 8GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics with 64MB memory, and up to 400GB hard drive.
Other features include WiFi, optional Bluetooth, webcam, optional fingerprint scanner, a 8X DVD SuperMulti DL burner, and a Verizon Wireless V740 ExpressCard for mobile broadband.
TouchSmart tx2z has a 12.1-inch multi-touch 1280×800 LCD display with LED backlit. There are also integrated Altec Lansing stereo speakers and a 5-in-1 card reader. The price of tx2z starts from $1,149.99.
