Finally, T-Mobile launches the BlackBeet Pearl Flip 8220 (aka KickStart 8220) smartphone, after Verizon introduces the BlackBerry Storm. The BlackBerry Flip 8220 is RIM’s first clamshell style Blackberry phone.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip features a 240×320 internal display and an external 160×129 display. It comes with a 2 Megapixel camera that can do video capture and integrated music player. Other than tri-band GSM EDGE, the Flip 8220 supports also WiFi connectivity. It has the SureType QWERTY keyboard and a microSD card slot.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is now available from T-Mobile for $149.99 after $50 mail-in rebate and with a 2-year contract. The one currently available in the Black version and T-Mobile will offer Red version soon.
