With the launch of Sprint’s XOHM network, if you don’t like Acer’s WiMAX laptops, you may consider Toshiba’s new Satellite U405-ST550W that comes with built-in support for WiMAX connectivity.
Toshiba’s Satellite U405-ST550W packs the first-ever combined WiMAX/Wi-Fi module, formerly codenamed “Echo Peak,” as part of the Intel WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link 5050 Series, which can also be found on other new WiMAX notebooks. The new laptop is based on Intel’s Centrino 2 processor technology, and has 4GB of RAM and 320GB hard drive. It comes with a 13.3-inch widescreen display, integrated webcam with face detection, and eSATA port.
