Olympus announced its new Stylus 1050SW, a rugged digital camera that is shockproof, waterproof and freezeproof. It features Olympus’ new Tap Control technology, which allows users to control the camera by a simple tap on its top, back or sides.
The Olympus Stylus 1050SW features a 10 Megapixel CCD image sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, 5x digital zoom, ISO up to 1600, Face Detection, Smile Shot, LED Illuminator, and Digital Image Stabilization. The Stylus 1050SW comes with the TruePic III image processor.
This new rugged camera offers In-Camera Panorama shooting mode and In-Camera photo editing. It has a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal LCD display.
The 1050SW comes with 41.6MB internal memory and supports xD Picture Card and microSD cards. It will be available in October for $299.99.
