Toshiba releases the new XD-E500 DVD player with the XDE technology. The Toshiba XD-E500 is able to do upconversion from 480i/p to 1080p thanks to the XDE technology. The XDE (eXtended Detail Enhancement) offers also three picture mode settings, Sharp, Color and Contrast, that allows users to get the most out of their DVD movie-viewing experience on their terms.
The XD-E500, other that DVD video discs, can also play MP3 and WMA music files, and has HDMI-CEC, DivX certification, and JPEG capability. It is available now for $149.99.
