Micron announced its next generation Real SSD solid state drives, including the enterprise-class RealSSD P200 and the client-focused RealSSD C200.
The RealSSD P200 has a standard 2.5-inch form factor and offers 16GB-128GB capacity. Based on Micron’s high-performa single-level cell (SLC) NAND technology, the RealSSD P200 has a 3Gb/s SATA-based sequential read and write speed of up to a maximum of 250 megabytes per second (MB/s).
The RealSSD C200, on the other hand, utilize the multi-level cell (MLC) NAND process technology. It is available in 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch form factors. The 2.5-inch version will have a capacity up to 250GB while the 1.8-inch models will have a capacity 32GB to 128GB. They offers a read speed of up to 250MB/s and a write speed of up to 100MB/s.
The RealSSD will be available in Q4.
