Amazon introduces the Kindle e-book reading device, which has a 6-inch e-ink screen. The reader has a side scroller for scrolling and QWERTY keyboard. It supports EV-DO 3G connectivity for downloading e-book files from Amazon’s Kindle store wirelessly. SD card is used for storage.
The Amazon Kindle supports not only its own Kindle format but also Word, PDF, Mobi, HTML, text and image files including JPEG, GIF, PNG. Audible! and MP3 audio formats can also be handled. It comes with a user-replaceable, 1530mAh battery.
