23 Years ago, in 24 Jan 1984, Steve Jobs announced the first Macintosh Computer. Check out the video after the jump.
Named after the McIntosh variety of apple, the original Macintosh was released on January 24, 1984. It was one of the first commercially successful personal computers to use a graphical user interface (GUI) and mouse instead of the then-standard command line interface.
The Mac itself went on sale for US$2,495, two days after the ad aired. It came bundled with two useful programs designed to show off its interface: MacWrite and MacPaint.
