Patriot Memory announced its new Wildfire series 2.5-inch solid state drives. Powered by the SanForce SF-2200 SSD controller, the Wildfire SSDs offers up to breathtakingly-fast 500MB/s sequential read and write speeds; and random read IOPS up to 60,000 (@ 4K blocks), random write IOPS up to 60,000 burst and 20,000 sustained (@ 4K blocks). It uses SATA 6.0 Gb/s interface and includes DuraClass Technology, ECC Recovery and Native Command Queuing.
The Wildfire series comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities. It offers also AES 256-bit and 128-bit data encryption. A 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch mounting bracket so you can use the Wildfire SSD on your desktop PC.
