In addition to the Valet series, Cisco also launches the new Linksys E-series wireless routers. Like those Valet routers, the new Linksys routers also include new Cisco Connect software, which gives users tools for easier customization and control of their home wireless experience.
In total, there are four new WiFi-N routers. The Linksys E1000 is an entry-level wireless-N router with four Ethernet ports. The Linksys E2000 is a more advanced router with selectable dual-band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) technology and four Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) ports. The Linksys E2100L is a router based on Linux OS and features two external, detachable antennas, built-in UPnP AV Media Server and USB port for sharing USB storage devices.
The top-of-the-line Linksys E3000 sports simultaneous dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) feature for smoother HD video streaming, wireless gaming and file transfers; four Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) ports, and built-in UPnP AV Media Server.
Cisco also introduces the Linksys AE1000 Wireless-N USB adapter that supports 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless network and comes with a USB extension cable.
