Asus announced the EAH5800 Series graphic cards, which are the first in the wolrd to utilize Voltage Tweak technology that enable users to boost GPU voltages via the SmartDoctor application to enjoy up to a 38% improvement in performance.
Two models are available, the EAH5870/2DIS/1GD5 and EAH5850/2DIS/1GD5 based on ATI Radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850 GPU respectively. The EAH5870 features 850MHz core clock speed, 4800MHz memory clock speed and 1GB GDDR5 video memory while the EAH5850 has 725MHz core clock, 4000MHz memory clock speed and 1GB video memory. These cards support DirectX 11.
Asus’ new EAH5800 series graphics cards use PCI Express 2.0 interface. They provide HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI Dual Link outputs. Asus introduces also the EAH5870/G/2DIS/1GD5 and EAH5850/G/2DIS/1GD5 that are bundled with DiRT 2, a Direct 11 game.
