Wacom expands its Cintiq line of professional creative tablets with two new models, the Cintiq Companion and the Cintiq Companion Hybrid. Both of them sport a 13.3-inch Full HD 1920×1080 IPS LCD display with 700:1 contrast and 75% Adobe color gamut. The former runs Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro while the latter is a creative pen display running Android OS.
The Cintiq Companion is boosted by a 3rd gen Core i7-3517U processor, 8GB of RAM, integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 256GB or 512GB SSD storage. The Hybrid version, on the other hand, packs quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage.
Wacom’s new Cintiq tablets will come with Pro Pen and their screen supports 2048 levels pen pressure and multitouch for advanced control. They also sport a 2 Megapixel front-facing camera and a 8 Megapixel camera on the back, and support Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Windows models will have a mini DisplayPort and two USB 3.0 ports and the Android version provides micro HDMI and USB 2.0 connector.
The Cintiq Companion is priced at $1999 for 256GB and $2499 for 512GB model, while the Hybrid is available for $1499 for 16GB and $1599 for 32GB.
