The ATIV Q is not the only new tablet announced by Samsung as the Korean firm has also introduced the ATIV Tab 3, which is the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet. While the company’s Galaxy Tab 3 runs Android, this ATIV version uses Windows 8 system and comes pre-loaded with Office Home and Student. It is super slim at 8.2mm and is also lightweight at 550g, making it an ideal travel companion.
The Tab 3 is an entry-level Windows 8 tablet powered by Intel’s Atom Z2760 processor with 2GB of RAM and integrated graphics. It has 64GB of onboard storage. The 10.1-inch touchscreen has 1366×768 HD resolution and supports S Pen functionality and there is a micro HDMI output port. You can expect up to 10 hours of battery life. Other features include 720p HD webcam, USB 2.0 port, microSD card slot.
Also included is the new SideSync feature that lets users to seamlessly switch between the tablet and Samsung’s Android smartphone.
