Toshiba announced in the UK the WT310 Windows 8 Pro tablet PC designed for business professionals on the move. With a 11.6-inch Full HD touch display, mobile workers can swipe, scroll and tap programs or documents. Users can also use the included Digitizer Pen to write notes, which can then be converted into text document using pre-loaded software for further editing and sharing with co-workers.
The WT310 is boosted by by Intel’s Core processor for fast performance and smooth operation; and uses SSD storage for fast boot-time and quick application launch. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and optional HSPA+/LTE mobile connectivity. You can also find a microSD card slot, a full-sized USB 3.0 port, HDMI video output and support for Intel Wireless Display.
Intended for business users, the tablet comes with Trusted Platform Module (TPM v1.2), Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), Intel Anti-Theft utility tools. The resilient plastic coating can protect internal components from damage caused by drops, knocks and heavy pressure, making the tablet able to handle intensive daily use.
The WT310 measures 229x189x12.4 mm and weighs 825g, which is slightly lighter than Microsoft’s Surface Pro. It comes in steel gray metallic.
