After announced for more than an year, Belkin finally ships its Thunderbolt Express Dock for Mac and Windows notebooks. Utilizing Thunderbolt technology, the dock lets you to connect up to 8 other devices using just a single connection, creating a cable-clutter-free, clean working space. The company has made some minor changes to the dock, removing the eSATA port and moving the Thunderbolt in front to the back. The price has also been lowered from $399.99 to $299.99.
The Thunderbolt Express Dock (model F4U055ww) has two Thunderbolt ports (one upstream and one downstream) that can daisy-chain up to five additional Thunderbolt devices. It also provides three USB 3.0, one FireWire 800, one Gigabit Ethernet, one 3.5mm audio-out and one 3.5m audio-in ports. Using these ports, your can connect your notebook to accessories and peripherals instantly with just a Thunderbolt cable.
The dock itself is priced at $299.99 and no cable is included. Belkin’s Thunderbolt cable costs $39.99.
