Sony is going ship in June its DEV-50V weatherproof digital recording binoculars that allows to capture HD videos indoor and outdoor. With a dual sensor design, the device is capable of 3D shooting, and its rugged splash- and dust-resistant body make it ideal for watching wildlife, sports action in steady, sharply-focused close-up views. As scenes and subjects can be recorded when they are being observed, you will never miss a moment.
The DEV-50V sports dual Exmor R CMOS sensor and a pair of Sony G lens optics to provide a true stereoscopic view of the world as well as a 3D mode to record scenes in 3D video for playback on 3D-compatible HDTV. You can also find two XGA OLED Tru-Finder electronic viewfinders for both eyes. It feature wide zoom/magnification range from 0.8x to 25x, and packs BIONZ processors to deliver high quality images. Optical SteadyShot Stabilization with Active Mode can minimize blur especially when zoomed in on a subject far away, and the Hyper Gain function can improve low-light visibility.
Videos are recorded in H.264 format and up to 20.4 Megapixel still images can be captured. The By Pixel Super Resolution technology is also included for high quality still images. The binoculars support Memory Stick Duo (M2) and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. The included NP-FV70 battery pack offers up to three hours of 2D recording.
