LG announced in Korea the Optimus GK, which is basically a smaller version of the company’s 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro. In fact, the Android 4.1.2 phone is exactly the same device LG brought to NTT DoCoMo as Optimus G Pro L-04E for the Japanese market. Instead of 5.5-inch display, the GK sports a 5-inch 1080p Full HD IPS touchscreen with ZeroGap Touch technology and 440ppi.
While the GK is more pocketable, LG managed to equipped it the same hardware as the 5.5-inch G Pro. The handset packs the same 1.7GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM. It also features the same 13 Megapixel main camera and 2.1 Megapixel front-facing camera. 16GB onboard storage is included and the microSD card slot supports up to 64GB of cards. For connectivity, you can find Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, NFC and SlimPort video output. It works on 3G HSPA+ and LTE 4G mobile networks.
Compare to Japanese version G Pro, the GK has a slightly bigger 3100mAh battery. Platinum White and Indigo Black versions are available.
