NEC adds to its MultiSync line a new economical professional widescreen LED-backlit monitor, the entry-level P242W-BK. The 24-inch 16:10 display uses AH-IPS LCD panel with wide viewing angle and accurate color that is ideal for web, photography applications. It features Full HD 1920×1200 native resolution and internal 14-bit 3D programmable lookup tablets.
The entry-level MultiSync covers 99.6% of sRGB color gamut and 75.2 % of NTSC color range, and offers 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350cd/m2 brightness. The display includes Picture in Picture and Picture by Picture capabilities, which allow two video signals to be viewed simultaneously. It is equipped with AmbiBright ambient light sensor to automatically adjusts the display’s brightness based on lighting conditions. There are five programmable Picutre Mode profiles for quick access to multiple color spaces.
The P242W-BK provides DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D and VGA inputs and a 3-port USB hub with DisplaySync Pro. A four-way ergonomic and quick-release stand with 150mm height-adjust, tilt, swivel and pivot, including locking base and carrying handle is included with the monitor.
NEC will also release the P242W-BK-SV model that comes with SpectraView software that helps display achieve accurate, consistent and repeatable color performance. The P242W-BK and P242W-BK-SV are priced at $749 and $999, respectively.
