OtterBox adds to its Defender Series a new battery case with iON Intelligence for Apple’s iPhone 4/4S. Other than providing a rugged protection, like other Defenders, the case also doubles the battery capacity of your iPhone 4/4S. Along with the case, OtterBox released the iON Intelligence app for users to monitor the battery life of the iPhone and case, and create accurate, personalized power profile.
The Defender case features a three-layer protection. The two-piece plastic shell snaps together around the device with built-in memory foam for cushioning, and the outer slipcover wraps around the inner shell to absorb impact from drops and bumps. There is also a screen protector built into the inner shell. The case sports a 1450mAh li-ion battery to double the battery life of iPhone 4/4S. It can intelligently determine when to charge the phone automatically and the ten LEDs can tell users the remaining battery capacity available.
The battery case has rubber plugs to protect main connectors of the iPhone. It comes with a micro USB cable for recharging and syncing. It is priced at $129.95.
