NFC is now a feature commonly seen on smartphones, and some Bluetooth headsets and speakers on the market now have included NFC for one-touch pairing. The latest ones are Sony’s CMT-BT80WB and CMT-BT60B wireless audio systems. Both models feature built-in NFC connection for easy one-tap pairing and listening with your smartphone or tablet. Matching with the room filling sound is the stealthy, super-slim styling of the two speakers.
The CMT-BT80WB and CMT-BT60B share many of their features. Equipped with Magnetic Fluid full-range speaker system with passive radiator and S-Master Amplifier technology, they deliver 40W RMS total power output and clear, room-filling sound. They also includes Bass Boost and DSEE sound enhancement technologies. While both models support Bluetooth (with AAC and apt-X codec) and NFC, the BT80WB adds WiFi connectivity and support for DLNA and AirPlay wireless streaming. With WiFi/DLNA/AirPlay, you can stream from iOS devices, PCs and NAS servers easily.
Sony’s new wireless speakers also include support for DAB and FM radio. There is a USB port for charging your mobile devices, and the CMT-BT80WB supports direct playback from the connected device. Sony will release the speakers in Europe in May.
