Last year, Logitech launched the Solar Keyboard Folio for iPad. This year, the company introduces the non-solar Keyboard Folio for iPad and iPad mini, expanding its tablet accessories lineup. According to Logitech, the new Folio keyboard case is to provide the same typing experience of the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover/mini and an extra layer of protection.
The Keyboard Folio for iPad and Keyboard Folio mini for iPad mini, as their name tell, feature a folio-style protection for both the front and the back. Like the Ultrathin model, both of them feature EasyType keyboard for a traditional and comfortable typing experience. The model for iPad even provides full-size keys. Bluetooth technology is used for connection and there are special iPad shortcut keys.
Logitech also adds hidden magnets to keep the keyboard folio case securely closed and to wake or sleep the iPad. There is also flip stand that provides two comfortable viewing angles. Without the integrated solar panel, the keyboard has to be charged via mini USB and the battery provides up to 3 months of use on a full charge.
The Keyboard Folio for iPad is available in carbon black, fantasy pink, electric blue, acid yellow for $99.99, while the Keyboard Folio mini for iPad mini is available in mystic blue and electric blue for $89.99.
